One of television's biggest icons, Lucy also made scores of movies, many of them uncredited early in her career. But it was her appearance in a 1948 radio show that allowed her to break into television comedies, and ultimately cinematic comedies like The Long, Long Trailer, for which she was nominated for the very first Best Comedic Actress Hall of Fame Cosmo. She lost to Madeline Kahn, but was re-nominated and won the following year.
