Resources:

Glenn Close is one of the most versatile and hardworking actresses in the U.S., with six Oscar nominations (three consecutive), 14 Emmy nominations (and three awards), 13 Golden Globe nominations (and two awards), seven SAG nominations (and one award), and three Tony Awards. She's just one award shy of an EGOT - although she's been nominated for a Grammy three times, she's yet to win one. But her most popular role for Cosmo voters may well be her leading role as the Marquise de Merteuil in the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons, which earned two Cosmo nominations at the first awards including Glenn Close's Hall of Fame win for Best Villain of All Time (for which she tied with Anthony Hopkins for Silence of the Lambs and Margaret Hamilton for The Wizard of Oz). Dangerous Liaisons was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 2012 Awards.

At the Fifth Annual Awards, she received her first Best Actress Hall of Fame nomination. At the Sixth, she was nominated for Best Support Actress for Heights. She was inducted into the Best Actress Hall of Fame at the 2010 awards.
